September Challenge - Anything Goes
I have used The Rose Stamp.
This was one of the first Stamps i was gifted by a very good friend.
Before that i had never hear of Lost Coast Designs.
It is now one of my favourites
Its just beautiful and you can do so much with it.
So versatile.........so very versatile.
for Sympathy, Birthdays or Get Well cards.
This one has and will be well used by me....for my charity cards
and also my personal cards...
Materials
One sheet White Card
One sheet Black Card
One Stamp called The Rose bye LCD
One phrase stamp by Kanban (one i use a lot of with the rose that comes in the pack).http://www.kanbancrafts.com/
Blue Staedler pencil.in light blue and dark blue for shading
Blue Ink pad for edging
Green pencil for the stem and leaves
and a few jewels to finish it off
One die with Scalloped edge (cut twice and joined).
Sharp scissors to cut image out.
Small round Scalloped die cut twice in white and one black
Sticky squares and double sided sticky tape.
Glitter for rose head...
To make up
First i stamped the Rose and then coloured it
in with Blue Staedler Pencil and shaded with the darkest blue...
Used the green pencil for the stem and leaves...
Then i cut around the image leaving a white line all around,
and set aside...
Next i die cut out my Scalloped oblong.
It was too small, so i cut two
and joined them at the back...with double sided sticky tape making
sure they matched at the split....
Then cut the circle out in white..
and one smaller white card to fit inside the scallop to hide the join
using double sided sticky tape....
I took one small white round and i stamped the rose again
only using the Flower Head...and coloured it in as above and
with mentioned above...(Do not cut out).
But Colour the edges with the ink pad...to match the outside scallop oblong.
Leaving one plain to put under the coloured one....to raise it above
the actual flower image...
From There i took my large DL sized scalloped topper
and added the flower round topper...
having brushed blue around the edges of both
I added the round topper with sticky squares.
The Flower head should now stand out above the actual flower image.
Now i took my D.L. card
added a smaller oblong black card so as it would frame my topper.
The added on top of that my topper ready made above..
Set aside.....to make the phrase by Stamping it
onto a white card and cutting around.
.
This was added underneath the stem of the flower...
Top of card
bottom of card.
Bear with me, almost there, lol.
Now it was all set up for a D.L. card and what was missing
a few blue jewels at the edges of the black card
and a wee bit of glitter to the rose...
Wha La!!!! its done..
I do hope you like my take on the L.C.D. Rose Stamp
This stamp is very versatile and a boon to any collection.
If you would like to leave a comment that would be very much appreciated..
